Analysis of Textual Variants represents the central task of the Book of Mormon critical text project – namely, the attempt to recover the original English-language text of the Book of Mormon. When completed, this series will analyze the entire text of the Book of Mormon, from the title page to the end of Moroni and will consider every significant variant in the text as well as many potential variants.

Volume 4 includes a definitive treatment the chapters 21-55 of Alma.
