Ancient America Rediscovered
Ancient America Rediscovered
This is the first English translation of a portion of "Historia Antigua de Mexico" originally written in Spanish by celebrated Mexican historian Don Mariano Fernandez de Echevarria Y Veytia (Mariano Veytia) in 1720-1778. He relates the history, religious practices, calendars, and astronomical calculations as he developed them from the charts, diagrams and paintings of the native peoples of Central America. Fortunately, many of these indigenous records were hidden from the destruction of the early Spanish priests.
Discover for yourself the fascinating history behind the early peoples of Central America and the similarities between their history and the people of the Book of Mormon. Read about a group of seven families who left the Tower of Babel at the time of the confusion of tongues, a legend of an ancestral group originating in Palestine, the story of a bearded white god and his teachings, and the signs of an eclipse and a terrible earthquake at the time of Christ's death. Consider the practices of the native peoples—practices and doctrines that conform to the principles of Christianity.
Sure to be a valuable addition to any library, Ancient America Rediscovered is a unique and intriguing account of a people that history is only starting to remember.
